BUG

The evolution of music video

BUG 13, Thursday 14th and Friday 22nd May 2009, 8:45pm, BFI Southbank NFT1

BUG returns to the BFI Southbank in London on for its next instalment with regular host Adam Buxton back in the hot seat. As usual, Adam will be presenting a stimulating selection of the most inventive, inspiring music promos from around the globe, and interviewing a special guest director. Now in its third year, BUG has become an essential forum for aspiring film-makers and fans of music video alike.

We're again bringing you double the fun in May with two BUG shows, both hosted by Adam. First up will be the regular format BUG 13 show on Thursday May 14th, followed by a director's cut show on Friday May 22nd.

Remember, the BFI Southbank's benugo bar stays open til late on BUG nights, and our regular BUG DJs - the Aphid Twin and uglymowgli - will be back behind the decks, so come and hang out a while with us after the show.

BUG sets out to explore the range of creativity, and the new democracy, in music video today - from exciting work in mainstream videos, to off-beam DIY experimentation by 'bedroom' directors made possible by off-the-shelf technology.

For tickets, call the BFI Southbank Box Office on +44 (0)20 7928 3232 or book online.

If you use social utility site Facebook, you can become a BUG fan and join the BUG group, to find out about future events and discuss the videos with other BUG-ers.
